Privacy
Your email address and your photos, and what we do with them.
Kidbrooke Community Keepers is an independent volunteer project that looks after Kidbrooke's wild places, starting with Sutcliffe Park. We are responsible for the details you give us. You can reach us at hello@kidbrookekeepers.org.uk.
What we collect
If you sign up for Keepers news: your email address, your first name if you give it, and the date and time you signed up. Nothing else.
Why
To send you occasional news about the park, volunteer days and the species hunt. We do this because you asked us to, and you can change your mind at any time.
Where it is kept, and who sees it
On Amazon Web Services in London, and the emails go out through Amazon's email service. Only the volunteer who runs the list can see it. We never sell it, share it, or use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the project ever stops, we delete the whole list.
Photos you send us
If you send a photo from the Wildlife page, we receive the photo, the caption and first name you give, and the date. We don't ask for your email address. Your device removes the photo's location, camera and date details before sending it, and we remove any that are left.
Each photo is checked twice before anyone else sees it. First an automatic check (Amazon Rekognition, part of Amazon Web Services) looks for unsuitable content and for people's faces. A photo with either is refused straight away and not kept. Then the volunteer who runs the project looks at it and approves or rejects it.
Approved photos are shown on this website with your first name, and may be shared on the Keepers' social media. Rejected photos are deleted, and photos still waiting after 30 days are deleted too. Photos are kept on Amazon Web Services in London. Email hello@kidbrookekeepers.org.uk at any time and we will take yours down.

Children
If you are under 13, please ask a parent or carer to sign up or to send a photo for you.
